People who were just arriving at 7 were getting seats that we, and others, had waited 2 hours or more for. They even went as far as to steal people's seats who had gone to the bathroom, food stands, or merch table without mercy, even when being told that those patrons were returning shortly. The staff were moving people's belongings around without permission, knocking drinks over, and telling people to move so they could sit more concert goers just arriving in the already packed venue. Our decent lawn seat was quickly destroyed as staff members combed through the crowd and looked for open grass to sit stragglers in. Getting in was fine for us, though the people farther back in the line were cheated out of the opening act because the security took so long to get through and the organization of the lines were terrible. to wait in line for a good lawn seat when the event doors opened at 6 p.m. We got 4 lawn tickets to see the Panic! At The Disco/Weezer concert. I would only come back if it was a band that I am dying to see. They really need to look into better ways of handling a sold out show if this is normal. There were still people out there when Panic! started. Start letting people in at 5:00 to get people in the gates before the concert starts. I have no problem that the bands wanted more security, but execute it better. They were blaming the wait on the extra security that the bands insisted on. ![]() We didn't even make it in the gates until 7:30. Now I expected a line, but not like that. We showed up at about 5:00 for a 6:00 gate opening and the line was around a mile long. We decided to show up a little earlier to the venue to hopefully be a little closer in line so we would have time to enjoy the first act. With all that being said, I am disappointed in the way the staff handled the sold out Panic! at the Disco and Weezer concert. We were also able to get drinks fairly quickly before we sat down. It is also flanked on both sides by large screens that make it so the people in lawn seating can enjoy seeing it better. It seemed like the stage is built so there are very few obstructed views from the seating area. We had seats under the tent closer to the stage and had a great view. I would not recommend this venue to anyone until they get their act together.įirst of all, I have been to many larger concerts with a wide range of experiences. We came back in time to catch Weezer but missed the opening act. Poor planning on the part of the venue for a sold out crowd ruined this experience. There were at least 2000-3000 people still waiting to gain access. ![]() We left at 7:30 as the line wasn't moving and we had missed the show. At 7:00, the concert began and we were still no where near gaining entrance. ![]() The venue did not plan for the crowd of 7000 and only opened one gate. Our friends entered within minutes we were not so lucky. When the gate opened they allowed both lines to enter. Our other friends found a shorter line but were told it was a hold line and they would not be allowed in until the line we were in had entered the venue. My other friends' GPS took them close to the Embassy Suites, near the front of the venue. The party I was with arrived by 5:30 to find a line over a mile long we parked out near Chuy's, where the end of the line was. Due to the size of our party (6), we took two separate vehicles. We all decided to meet at our hotel lobby at 5:15 and travel to the venue. My friend who purchased the tickets received an email explaining the show was sold out and to arrive early. Our entire trip was without issue until we arrived here. We saw Weezer was in concert and all decided to have a mini reunion at this concert. My friends and I traveled here for the sole purpose of reuniting after being out of school and not seeing each other in 17 years.
